The Drayton Hive

Case Study: The Drayton Hive

Included: Squarespace website design, photography, branding, logo design, and SEO

I love it when I find clients who are closeby to my little village and Andrew Bax – inventor of the Drayton Hive – lives just one village over from me!

Andrew, an avid beekeeper himself, set out to create a beehive that would suit an amateur beekeeper, and succeeded with his beehive that is easy to use and benefits those who don’t have the time or inclination to invest in intensive management or expensive extractors.

While the Drayton Hive is sold through third parties, Andrew wanted a place where he could explain the benefits of his hive, how it works, and a directory of where to buy it.

I started by taking photos of the hive (and his bees!) came up with a simple logo and branding guidelines and made him a Squarespace site that is easy to manage and update.

We also optimised the site, so that prospective beekeepers looking for a simple solution could find the site more easily.
