Support

Over the years, I have built up a large group of regular clients. Because of this, I have support from my fellow freelancer and friend Billy. I add Billy to all of my websites to ensure that if anything is going wrong and I’m away, either working with another client or on holiday, your problem can be fixed. Equally, it means that if another client has an emergency, this will not affect the progress of your site.

Office Hours

My hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, and I work hard to stick to this to ensure a good work/life balance. Resting allows me to be more creative and productive in my working hours. If you need help out of my working hours, I charge double my hourly (£50) or daily (£250) rate. 

Communication

I prefer to communicate via email, as this allows me to focus on the tasks I have allocated throughout the day without interruption. I try to check my emails in the morning, at lunchtime and at the end of the day. If you are having an emergency, and need to contact me over the phone, I would prefer if you could drop me a text first, so that I can get my notes together to have a productive meeting when I call you back. 

Cancellation policy

I have a strict cancellation policy which includes a fee equal to 10% of the project total, to cover the time worked up until the cancellation point and the time we reserved in our schedule. I also don't offer refunds on the first payment made as it's a non-refundable deposit. A cancellation fee will be issued if feedback or responses take over two weeks.

Freeze fee

If you want to put the project on hold, and start up the project at a later date, you will be required to pay the 10% cancellation fee. You must give at least one month’s notice before you wish to start the project back up again and the restart fee will be an additional 10% above the project fee.

Website credit

I may include a small footer credit on the sites I design and develop containing a link to my site and the following wording: "Website by Sarah Halliday."

The style and design of the credit included will be chosen by mutual agreement in order to complement the style and design of the project. You may pay an additional fee of £300, above the project fee, if you wish to omit the credit entirely.
